I finally searched for more on this artist after seeing a great fishnet photo at the Photographic Figures exhibit. His website has a lot of images and even an ongoing diary of his work... I like him more already. The photographs are gritty and beautifully depressing, but also cropped, patterned and have lots of contrast. Moriyama's subject matter varies from face-less figures to environments - this one looks similar to the prints I just made.
